BarTender:
I know a guy who could help.

In my next house I may employ your help to move a rack :)

I've had my box for a couple of weeks, but with one thing and another I haven't set it up yet. I have had 2 emails from Samknows telling me they "see" it has been delivered and to "Not forget me" and plug it in. Unfortunately I'm not home for the next 5 days so I'll probably get another reminder

:-)

Just plugged in my SamKnows probe now. I am really in need of a proper network rack in my next house...

I see you have the fingbox too. Should probably start another thread about how useless that thing is....

Also why are you storing bars bugs on your server rack?

I actually like the Fingbox in the sense it informs me what is forwarded with UPnP and gives me presence data of which I use for home automation. It also notifies me as soon as something connects to the network (eg - sister giving out the password to the wrong SSID to her friends) and automatically blocks them. Works very well for my needs.

Regarding the Bars Bugs - well, this house is tiny. I have to make use of every bit of space and so I store car cleaning stuff and also methylated spirits on the same shelf in the cupboard. Networking gear likes flammable products sitting beside it I've heard.

I'm actually not seeing much IPv4 traffic from my node - only IPv6. Have not done a full packet capture or anything but over 24hrs it has done a bucketload of tests but has only generated 57kb of IPv4 traffic.

@NickMack since you have IPv6 too (why not, as you're on an ISP that has great IPv6) see if you're the same.
