JamesL: Ok, so I'm guessing its being misreported then

seems to list starts per band.. so that could be why it looks odd..

@JamesL: Well, unless I'm mistaken, your attenuation is 2.9db!! How far from the cabinet are you?

@hio77: Huh, weird, where did that go to!? In any case my comment was 'Sweet! I'm happy to beta test when you're ready!' :D

2.9 was what i first read, but then if i recall right, his adsl stats were higher.. and if that isnt the case, sync rates seem well below par..

ah! now theres context to the blank post ;)

the thing im weary of, is if the 7340 is different to the 7390..

Definitely won't be 2db as I had 9db on ADSL2+, at a guess I thought I'd be on ~12db as I'm about 500m from the cabinet

I'd say that it's misreporting

ah, so my memory did serve me right.. with an original of 9db, it doesn't seem likely that any of the values there are mildly correct..

only other difference i can see, is if you had different modems, and they detect attention slightly difference but it cant have changed too much between the two..

Yeah that sounds about right and about matches your sync rate I think. My adsl was 9db on one modem and 10 on another, now 12 on VDSL. I'm about 600M from cabinet so sounds pretty similar to my line.  I guess some misreporting on the zyxel, is firmware up to date?

I'll be switching to the fritz at the end of next month, now that I'm on I don't want to touch the modem so DLM doesn't ruin my day

be sure to stick to the powered down for 5 mins trick.. seems to put DLM back into its position..

Must admit I don't usually power down for long these days, usually just 20 seconds or so. But I do ensure the incoming line is disconnected completely from the modem for a good 10 minutes or so while restoring fritzbox settings, then do a quick power down, login to web interface and make sure everything looks ok, and only then reconnect the incoming line back to the modem.

(BTW, I just used that process to change back to a less aggressive SNR tweak; was a bit worried I might find it came back up on DLM2 since it's been over 12 CRCPM today, over 11 yesterday I think and pretty close to 10 for a number of days.  But it came back up still DLM1, so all good.)
