My 7340 is fine but it's the older firmware: 99.05.22. I can upgrade if you need someone on the newest firmware to test.

I think 99.05.22 is the latest for the 7340.

No, the ftp site has 99.05.51: ftp://ftp.avm.de/fritz.box/fritzbox.fon_wlan_7340/firmware/english/info.txt

I forsee thr 7340 getting thr .55 update at some point, the two are in line with each other looking at the version history...

I'll proberly pull the version first, from port 49000 - if I recall correctly it's listed ... Hopefully santax doesn't change there too...

For DLM-2:
888 ES
2 CRC errors per minute
160 CRC errors last 15 minutes

Heres hoping it promotes me to DLM-1 with these stats. Again the graphs don't add up.

yep, that looks like the 7340 has been bought back in line..

i wouldnt worry about your ES, nor the last 15 mins, this seems to calcuate horribly wrong.. not sure if its an average or something..

my first time on DLM-1 i was hitting close on 20 CRCPM, till last night, i was 11.33 average.. and that got me moved back, so maybe next time ill slide just under the 10 mark ;) error rates seem to be a tad better as it goes.. maybe theres another figure that we dont see that DLM uses and plays with to try and bring it down on attempts.. or it could have been some freak oddity..

onto the firmware issue, stuck a problem.. seems the system status output does not list the firmware but the device serial etc, so rather useless. ill add a manual firmware trigger for now.. and catch that error

running the newest firmware now.. seems things a VERY different.. even down to the data supplied in the ajax requests, and the format.. seems a few pages arent auto updating as well.. not to mention a complete change in the actual html layout..

will have to tinker with this one for a bit.. may be a step back in some respects :/

on another point, yay min/max lines :L

edit: interesting... telnetd is back in the firmware, along with activate upon boot. (no phone command needed) unfortunately, it is in german too!

someone running the old firmware mind dumping me http://fritz.box/jason_boxinfo.xml if it works that is..

also the output of http://fritz.box/login_sid.lua

Oh!  That's new!  Looks like it was released late last month!  Is anyone running it yet?

Edit:  Looks like some potentially useful stuff in there for DSL:

NEW: interop improvements
NEW: DSL-spectrum graphic now displays max- and min-values
NEW: DSL-line test can diagnose the physical DSL-connection

by the looks of it, its the same as the 3490 5.00 OS (as its called in the documentation)

it would seem theres far less ajax used.. rather odd step backwards..

certainly not finished with it yet.. especially with this new firmware..

someone on the the 4.8 OS version mind dumping both these pages, hopefully i can find some sort of middle ground..

http://fritz.box/jason_boxinfo.xml

http://fritz.box/login_sid.lua

now that i have telnet, looking deeper into the workings of the fritz itself, see what scripts can give me more information without expecting it to be available considering it has been dropped from a few firmwares..
