Omen:

Is there any way to filter via upload speeds?

Hi there,

we don't have this filter at the moment. Actually, you are the first one who asked this question. :)

Hey BroadbandCompare

Question: Can you please explain why you are misleading people redirecting them from glimp.nz to broadbandcompare.co.nz?

Do you think this is ethical? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What exactly is unethical about this? Although the registers names differ, would appear to be owned by the same entity.

It's a pretty ballsy/low move (depends on what side you take) to register a domain nearly the same as your competitor's and have it redirect to your own site. Each to their own; Glimp probably should've registered it to begin with, but it's not the best move from BroadbandCompare...

It would appear there's a suggestion that broadbandcompare purchased a similar domain name to another BB comparison website, and configured it to redirect to broadbandcompare.

Certainly at the moment that looks like what has happened.

Cheers - N

no doubts about it being a low blow.

Simply not sure this is exactly the correct place or way to take up an issue with it. but ehh, who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ sealed

To be fair, it's _nowhere_ near the worst thing I have heard that certain Broadband comparison websites do :-) (and no, I can't name names, despite hearing about it in a completely different capacity than my day job :-)

Cheers - N

Hi Glimp,

As mentioned by a previous poster, we don’t think this is really the correct place to be raising such an issue.

As such we're not going to make any further public comment on this but you can reach us via email at hello@broadbandcompare.co.nz or call on 0508 2 COMPARE if you would like to discuss further.

Thanks.
