sidefx: Was there a resync with that change?

Yes there was.

Then my guess would be pretty much the same as SamF's - a bug in the firmware where the fritzbox doesn't show DLM2/4 INP properly (though I think most people see the opposite, i.e. 0 instead of 1, but maybe it depends which direction you're going on the DLM scale)

Yes, it shows INP as 0 instead of 1, so you think you're on DLM-2 but you're actually on DLM-4.

Yeah, but eXDee's phantom change seems to be the other way around - it was showing INP 1 before and after I think? So either it's a slightly different twist on said bug or something new.

Ah well, some good (I think - will have to check tonight) news on my connection. Around 1am last night the errors dropped right off. Since I doubt they would have replace the lamp I wonder if it has blown completely now... will check this evening:

Sadly the errors are back (right on time - around when the street lights came) along with the flickering one. Hmmm... I wonder if maybe it cut out during the night last night or something. Will keep an eye on errors tonight and see if they disappear.

Would just like note that there wasn't a resync. Apologies, i read some dates of the logs wrong at the time of posting.

It did however make some sort of change without a resync i think. My line is currently sub 300 on the y axis of the unrecoverable errors graph.

I'm getting an interesting pattern of errors today:

My CRCs are continuing to steadily rise as well.

Holy sh*t I'm such a geek:  :D

The trends are obviously different in actual figures, but the trend pattern is the same; exponential increases in errors, much more so after the 4-5Mbit increase point.
