Is such a thing available in NZ?

I need to be able to use my netbook at work where there is no Wifi, but I do not need a huge amount of bandwidth - less than 100Mb a month probably, and I want to keep cost to a minimum, as I need it only intermittently. It is basically so I can access my Dropbox from work  (as I cannot have it on my work machine) and also lets me have a nose at sites that may not be suitable for workTongue Out

I bought 2GB of bandwidth that came with a new T-stick last month but that's now expired, and dont particularly want to spend $50 a month doing that just for a limited amount of use. It would also be useful for the odd ocassion I go out of town

Regards
Peter

no.

you can buy a recurring small sum from most providers e.g $10 for 100MB or something, but it always expires within a month.

2Degrees do have somelonger expriy packs such as 12GB that lasts 6 months, but it is $150 (current price $99 for a promo) so would be far more expensive than your needs would suggest, although would give you price certianty.

your other option is to find an XT SIM with one of their old plans on it which were a flat rate of 10c/MB. For using an uncertain amount but probbly less than 100MB of data that usually works out cheapest .Problem is you cannot buy them any more8

Thanks Wade and Nonpraying Mantis
I'll look into the Skinny option, could work out as a reasonable option for what I need
A recurring small sum of $10 for 100MB would also be an acceptable solution just as long as my netbook doesnt download a humungous update

Slightly off topic, but can you not access Dropbox through the web client?

Yes I can access the files, but modifying them (which is what I want to be able to do) is a pain in the arse.  My work firewall also prevents Filezilla from operating in secure FTP mode which is another app it is nice to be able to be able to use on the netbook.

If I only wanted to get at the files to download them and look at them then the web client would be adequate, but I want to be able to edit them in Notepad and upload them back into the Dropbox which is not so eay
