Hi all,

I just wanted to bring everyone up-to-date on the 'Go Large' issue.  I received an email from Telecom today saying that they acknowledge there is a problem with 'Go Large' and they hope to have it fixed by the end of the month (but this date may move).

Has anyone else had any other indications as to when this issue will be fixed?

In terms of my situation, very similar to others.  Moved over to 'Go Large' when it started, all was fine for a week and then things seriously slowed down.  I can't view streaming video (even from the Xtra site) and all international connections are at a snails pace.

ROFL...

I had the problem as you may or may not have seen from another thread, but since decided to 'GO SOMEWHERE ELSE' (pun intended) and switched to Woosh ADSL.

Very happy now.

I am chuckling about the sudden change though

After all the run around and letting on that the problem is obviously with me as the user* and not with them, ahahaha.

*me as the user = Did'nt read the Fair Use policy, you local exchange is obviously suffering from contention, didn't read the fair use policy, and on and on and on....

Anyway, good luck with that, hope it gets sorted for you, but if you depend on a stable low latency ping for online gaming (like me) it will never be fixed as they have interleaving on all their customers and will not turn it off, while woosh does allow for it to be turned off if you ask.

Summary: You *may* get proper speeds again, but you'll never get good pings.

I do like the 'GO SOMEWHERE ELSE' pun! ... I've actually been pricing up plans to make a switch if Telecom don't get things sorted by the end of this month.

The clock is ticking ...
