Hi There!

Currently we can only get P2P Fibre until June 2014. I am wondering on the likelihood of prices dropping on these connections again between those two times, to help decide if I should sign for a 1 year or two year contract. Does anyone know what the normal SLA on these type of connections is?

Cheers

Chorus P2P pricing is identical to UFB P2P pricing - Chorus dropped their prices to match this in August last year.

CFH have already set a glide path for UFB wholesale price increases from now to 2019, and none of the P2P prices are changing (some GPON prices will be increasing between now and 2019)

Which fibre provider? Wholesale Chorus fibre has no terms, Vector and TCL has. Depending on which service provider delivering services over the fibre circuit, they will have their own terms. However, you should be able to negotiate the terms, pricing reviews and future market prices built into your contract. Hunt around is my suggestion.

Thanks Steve,

Those doc's are really interesting.  I'm interested because I was interested in that article that was on 3News last Friday about that school up north that got a $12,000, a month, quote to get internet access.
