The ONT is not a Layer 3 device and is not providing IPv4 or IPv6 to the home.  Service Providers could decide to offer IPv6 without impact to the underlying GPON system.

I have IPv6 working on my home UFB install - there is no real difference to DSL when it gets to the ISP's network - you will probably find that if your ISP can give you v6 now - you can probably get v6 on your UFB connection.

As long as the RGW supports v6 that is.

UFB can support it as can most modern DSL (EUBA), VDSL and other services. UFB (and DSL) are layer 2 services whereas IPv6 is layer 3.
