new zealand users will be able to use their broadband connections to buy new zealand television shows and also watch live news for free:

you would think tvnz would have linked up with apple itunes and offer the television shows using itunes new zealand because the tvnz's shows are going to have drm on them so you cannot play them on your ipod.

Yes, except for people on Xtra Go Large, or any other service with traffic shaping...

Its a start, of the way all media is going to go...

$2.50 per show....I dunno...maybe a weekly subscription could go over better, allowing full access...

But the news will be free, not surprising though after waiting 12-24 hours after its been on TV live for it to be available....now thats a waste of time.

I like the concept although it does seem pricey, especially when you consider that downloading TV shows would also take a fair chunk out of your broadband data cap. Pity it's state television, but hopefully Canwest and Sky TV will follow suit in the near future.
