I've got a mate who has moved up to Masterton and would like to know what ISP's one would suggest for reasonable latency when gaming via xbox. I've used snap internet down here in Upper Hutt with everything working fine and dandy but does that hold constant up in Masterton? any feedback would be much appreciated.

It would depend on if you're a BUBA connected (old ATM Network) customer or a EUBA (Cabinet /Exchange using ISAMs Ethernet new network) as the backhaul and interconnect and customer dimensioning is somewhat different.

As always (with my obvious bias Laughing) Telecom will give you the most consistent broadband speeds, and Truenet seem to back up my statement.

Plus I would say that you will need a Master Filter, unless you're out in the middle of nowhere and on a Conklin and then nothing can be done to help you until / IF Chorus upgrade your cabinet as part of RBI.

Plus I can do a line test and say if you need a master filter (which you probably will need) too :)
