Two people on same street can have very different results. E.G. one user could be next to the cabinet, and other user could be 500m up the road. Difference would be significant. Also quality of wiring and whether or not a master splitter is installed would have a major impact too.

Higgins road, told by chorus tech we are close to cabinet .

Have had chorus install splitter from beginning.

Sync rate 30/10 profile 8b

Real world throughput only 15/8

Did have high FEC error count due to dodgy battery which chorus have replaced but hasn't changed our throughput at all

Essentially we've tried everything, Chorus have been out four times and no improvement. We are the stage where they say the minimum spec of 15/5 ... Like it or lump it

A master filter should be installed for every DSL install. The only exception is if you have a single jackpoint only for the DSL.

Whether it's a Clothed or Naked connectyion makes absolutely no difference at all.

Doesn't have to be but is best practice.  I don't but have a jack connected directly to the ETP.  Snap seem to be the best value for money for VDSL and I have seen 40Mb up to about 800m from the exchange.

Thats not right it should be atleast in the 20Mb range.  Do you have modem spectrum graph you can post?

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.
