Im looking at the various cheap adsl plans for my mum and some plans like slingshot have the ability to sign up for broadband with tolls, does a plan like this mean she won't have local calling ability but I can sign her up with a voip provider? Naked adsl just seems like price gouging  when you can get and a connection for sometimes half the price (slingshot just tolls + 20GB = $36, naked 30GB =$81)

the price for broadband is discounted if you move your tollcall provider to slingshot. It assumes you already have a regular landline telephone connection with another provider.
If you have no telephone connection then you will need to sign up for either a naked plan or a broadband with phone package.
I think slingshot naked is about $80 for 30GB or a phone plus BB package with 20GB for about the same price.
