I'm currently with Orcon and am experiencing shocking internet performance with them (as are many others).  I realise the "what's the best ISP" question is like asking how long a piece of string is.  So I'm asking instead what some of the best experiences other users in my area are getting with alternate ISPs?

Anyone care to comment?  I'm on ADSL at the moment but will be moving to fibre as soon as I possibly can.

Personal recommendation for Snap! They have very consistent performance on all their services, great customer service and a nz call support centre.

They also offer Fibre as well as DSL so switching will cost you nothing, but maybe a change in the monthly billing on the plan.

I'm having a terrible experience with snap!!!  My internet has been out since tuesday and still no definite date of resolution (it is partly chorus fault though).  Hopefully it will be resolved by tomorrow or monday but this is a fingers crossed hope.

I'm sure that once I eventually get connected Snap will be OK but having a connection nightmare right now with them.
