The guide ends with

"Tidy-up: After you’ve set-up your Apple TV you may want to return your computers DNS to its original setting, you may also want to think about a bigger broadband data cap or one with an unlimited data cap, call NOW™ for that ;)"

Nothing new, nothing that users around here don't know already. The ISP retweet is more a marketing gimmick than anything else.

Though not technically illegal, I didn't think it was acceptable practice for ISPs to be dishing out advice on how to "beat the system".

Any ISP that helps its users get what THEY want, and not what US multinationals want them to have, should get huge kudos from the tech community IMHO.

I'd probably switch to an ISP that offered tutorials on VPN's and seedboxes.

I'm a geek, a gamer, a dad, a Quic user, and an IT Professional. I have a full rack home lab, size 15 feet, an epic beard and Asperger's. I'm a bit of a Cypherpunk, who believes information wants to be free and the Net interprets censorship as damage and routes around it. If you use my Quic signup you can also use the code R570394EKGIZ8 for free setup. Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.

I'd be interested to hear further thoughts on this from the ex-FYX team (Andrew & co before Vocus bought Maxnet).
