We have just had telecom come in and do their thing ( actually i think it was chorus ), as part of connection to a new house they installed the regular single entry conduit box, this wasnt installed 100% ( ie not screwed to brick ) as it wasnt the box i wanted, i asked them if i could get one for two conduits, as i have laid two conduits to the ETP to allow for future fibre etc..  I want to replace the chorus box with the correct one.

In chch i have looked at recent sub divisions, there are two boxes i have seen. the more traditional Telecom white box with a single conduit port.  And a second box for areas that have fibre, which i think might be installed by enable, it doesnt have a conduit hole as such, but rather two bottom entry points for cables.  I'm after that type of box, not sure where to source it, can anyone here help?

There is a picture of a box in this thread where you can see the two entry points i talk of.

and another

And this picture gallery shows the original style of box they put on our house and the replacement version which looks to be bigger for fibre..

Any help obtaining one of these boxes would be appreciated.  I tried the local Electrical suppliers and they couldnt help.

This is posted in two forums as i wasnt sure where to target it.

Thanks

The first ETP like box is actualy a Fibre termination box - it has one entry hole and one exit hole (not two entry holes ) and is installed by chorus for the transition of external fibre to internal fibre ( it isnt realy suitable for dual enrty

we cant see the second photo unless you give global access to you goole account

Second photo isnt mine, i just paste the link into browser and it works.

Question is, how do i source one of those boxes.  Im seeing them used in chch for telephone and want to use one of them as in future i will get fibre and dont want to have to drill multiple holes in our bricks :)

Thanks

Wondering if anyone is able to source one of the boxes, have a request in with chorus and enable networks, no replies from chorus but enable are seeing if they can offer a supplier details.

The ETPs are pretty useless for anything else if you just want a box as they are built for 20mm pressure pipe and not 20mm electrical. Plus they are now flimsy compared to the old square ones. Better off to go and get a nice looking marley box from your local electrical shop.

Quite possibly supplied directly to Enable by Huawei.

Call Enable they might hook you up with one.
