My snap internet went down just after 10am today -- i was still synced to the vdsl just fine.

But my VOIP phone was working OK .

I just find it strange, how my phone was working but my internet was down.

Resetting the broadband connection fixed it  - i was just wondering if this was just me  - maybe the fritzbox crashed.

Something happened around that time with my Vodafone cable service as well... And on Geekzone servers in AKL.

Moved this to NZ Broadband as it seems it affected other ISPs as well.

Affected us here on Vodafone Cable. VOIP was still working fine.
At one stage, couldn't access any international sites.

Whatever it was, it is apparently still affecting international traffic, but I haven't heard much else so far.

It seems something with upstream provider Reach.

"From 10:09am Snap customers may have noticed impacted performance across the Asia-Pacific region. This was due to a failure of an international feed. Our network automatically switched to backup paths."

Hi all.

One of the international link providers that we and some other ISPs use lost connectivity this morning. Traffic was moved to other international links, however customers may still experience some slowness when using international websites or other Internet traffic. The provider is aware of the issue and is working to restore the link. We apologise for any inconvenience.
