Anyone had any experience with setting up broadband for only a month?

I'm still having this issue which I'm now stuck between Vodafone and Snap over. So if you can help me out with that doozy, that would be great!

Now we have the issue of trying to organize some way of having connectivity for the next 21 days (from Saturday) before we head to England for 4 weeks.

So looking for advice on something cheap to setup. We will end up going with Vodafone or Snap when we get back, unless another provider can show us something better, but for now we need something quick and dirty and most importantly cheap/painless to setup.

Unless there is a better option for such a small period?
Are sticks economical?

We need at least 80GB for a full month, so say 40-60 for this period.

Sticks arent that economical in comparison to fixed line offerings, but will get you over short term connectivity humps. Some smaller providers may get you connected, but will probably want to pass the cost of connection onto you because of the short term involved, on top of your month in advance (this would get you around a term contract for a 'free' connection in most cases). If you supply your own ADSL2 capable modem you should be set!

if in a broadband zone for 2degrees, id grab a 12gb data pack or two on prepaid, cut down the internet usage dramatically to what is actually just needed, and then theres no issues with getting accounts set up or cancelled. It'll work the moment you pull it from the box, and there's no contract or account to worry about.

21 days isn't that long to cut down on the video streaming/downloading/whatever.
