Hello there
It's me Raafat a potential immigrant to NZ with my family and as most of immigrants we would move to Auckland region so I was interested in finding an ISP that provides Cable broadband in Auckland region just Like InHome Cable by Vodafone but in Auckland region or at least VDSL aside from Actrix

Hi Raafat, welcome to Geekzone and possibly to NZ.

The cable broadband is not available in Auckland unfortunately, only available in parts of Wellington and Christchurch.

However VDSL availability will be dependent on the the address you eventually move to.
Not all NZ ISPs offer VDSL service however I would imagine that would change soon with the recent announcement of reduction in wholesale VDSL prices.

Try googling VDSL providers in NZ and see what you come up with.

As above, for a VDSL provider check out full flavour media or snap, both seem to be favourites around here

I'd highly recommend snap for VDSL.

Also depending on the area you move into, you could look at Fibre/UFB.

As others said, it isn't really a choice of which ISP, but of where you live for VDSL or fibre offerings. Check out the broadband service availability tool when deciding where to move to if it's very important.

I'd see if UFB fibre was available in the first instance, VDSL is normally my backstop!

Another ISP to add to the list (and people say nice things about them) is Unleash - Whilst they're not the cheapest they'll make sure you're well looked after - the team there are excellent, but you're paying for speed here. Just phone them up for a quote and they'll make it happen. Depending on when you're arriving there might be some possibility we might be doing VDSL by then too, but really I don't know of an actual date for this.

If you wack your address into the page on http://telecom.co.nz/broadband (click Ultra Fibre) you'll see straight away if Fibre is available at your address, it all boils down to what ISP you would like to take up with their offerings.

This is the best approach imo ^

Basically choose your address in an area that already has UFB fibre deployed or is very close to a cabinet/exchange for VDSL.

Then choose the ISP after that.

It is hard to know exactly where a cabinet is just going of the SAT though, you can normally find the exchange addresses by googling though.
