Hey guys,

We're getting VDSL and have decided to disconnected all the sockets in the house from the main (it was a cluster of madness in the roof with no master socket).

My question is that the entry point cable has 4 wires, Black/Yellow/Brown/White.  I've read around and have seen that the most places just have two main wires coming in.

What was connected was the Black and Yellow which I know from the past are the main ones so I have no idea what the brown and white are from.

What I've done so far is wired the black and yellow straight into the master splitter in the roof and then wired a cat6 cable directly from that to the router which supports RJ-45 in.

Just want to check this is alright?  I believe the phone is disconnected as we're not getting any voltage on the multimeter.

The incoming cable has a 2nd pair to allow for another line if required.

If you aren't going to have any other jacks you didn't need the filter.
