you can pick any ADSL based ISP you wish to use, BUT if you want to change ISP's due to "speed" it could be possible your connected to a conklin cabinet which shares a small amount of total bandwidth with 10-15 users resulting in slower speeds during peak times.
I understand that wiring can make a difference etc, just wondering if i'm missing something and there's a better supplier out there. Better packages ie value for money. I currently pay between $80-90 for broadband/homephone.
Hi, by and large all ISPs can deliver to most regions on Chorus's wholesale network with the same performance as elsewhere.
Your speedtest is not bad but shows poor upload, this is very much likely to indicate an internal wiring issue, could you please post your modem stats.

Hi, I agree, if the 27dB is correct then 12Mb/s is not far from the right answer. However I have a nagging concern about the poor upload, this may be due to filter loading, ie too many filters. How many is there currently, and what do the line stats say if you upplug all phones and filters and only have the modem on the line.
Oh and we are only interested in the last set of stats, ie link rate, attenuation and noise margin.
