I don't know whether there's any new information (my address hasn't changed) or whether it's just a colour change, but I figured that someone would be interested :)

Looks like they've changed the UFB availablility dates layers. Previously the map showed our address as 'By June 2014 indicative' whilst now there is only 'Planned By June 2016', and then the red layers for June 2017 and June 2018. There are no red layers shaded anywhere in NZ so assume those plans aren't made, or being publicised yet.

"UFB deployment dates for your area are still being developed" last time I looked it was 2019.. Wonder if this new date is better or worse??

Apparently UFB is available in my area (yeah right) and apparently I get >20mbps broadband (yeah right). Don't really trust these maps much.

Jesus, they've certainly changed things around on them maps.

Either you're already in a blue UFB enabled area or a vague "planned by Jun-16" cyan area. It doesn't tell you much at all as to what might be coming up soonish.

Either you're already in a blue UFB enabled area or a vague "planned by Jun-16" cyan area. It doesn't tell you much at all as to what might be coming up soonish.

On the detail view for each cabinet area you can still see the estimated dates, my street in the North Shore states by May 2014.

2) >20 Mbps with right equipment means vdsl

VDSL it would say >70mbps

VDSL it would say >70mbps

Actually 'greater than 20Mbps' would indicate VDSL.
