Anyone else just get this email? Looks like Compass is advertising unlimited naked DSL for $80/month. Does anyone have experience with compass? This is a really good deal and am considering switching.

Probably better to search Compass here, I don't think Compass has a lot of positive comments

Hi GBristow,
Thanks for your interest in unlimited broadband from Compass. With No Fixed Term on offer at the moment, you're most welcome to try it out and see for yourself. Please feel free to PM me here or call in to 0800 648888 for a chat. Kind regards,

Ryan @ Compass

From my experience with compass- avoid them.
Speed wise it was OK on the unlimited plan, if something goes wrong, be prepaired to wait, their customer service is very slow and very poor. ( I had about the same speed as world exchange )
I moved from compass to SNAP and got a 25% increase in download speed and has been rock solid. I have 100GB and that is more than enough for what I need.

Thanks guys, will think on it. The no term does sound appealing. If there isn't a catch like the usual $100 churn fee then it might be worth trying them out

I have had a couple of customers switch to them, and although the customers didnt worry too much
 - Both had drops in speed. 200kBps downloading avg installer or other such common large files vs 1000kBps+ on telecom
 - One was an elderly gentleman who wasnt aware of what he was signing up for with the telemarketer, and ended up switching back to telecom because he didnt know who they were when the modem arrived.

If you do sign up, make sure you get it in writing that there is no term.
I bought this up with the sales guy at the time as there was no "no contract" tickbox on the form, he said by not ticking the free month or free modem it was open term. It took me several hours / people and luckily one of the sales people still worked for them ( there were 2 who were together, I think one was training the other )
