I am moving house in a few months to a new subdivision which is Fibre only (no copper).

I have been looking at ISPs but can't find the perfect one.

This is essentially what I want.

>=500GB data
Normal voice services (caller I'd etc)
International calling to Canada
Fixed IP Address

Telecom can provide most of this however they do voice over copper so I'm stuck there.
Orcon can't give fixed IP address on unlimited plan. All other plans do t have enough data.
Vodafone don't have their services running
Snap only goto 150gb

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Snap has data packs that you add. That 150GB is just what is included with the plan.

I think they have right up to a 1TB pack. When you add a data pack you get unlimited nights too which is awesome.

Edit: As for voice.... 2Talk or WorldXChange depending on what level of support you want. 2Talk=cheapest, no support. WxC=only slightly dearer, awesome support.

Yeah you might have missed the snap data packs, they are
$15 Additional 100GB data
$25 Additional 250GB data
$45 Additional 500GB data
$70 Additional 1000GB data

But remember, with snap between 1am and 7am is free downloading so queue your downloads up and get a lower pack, when your on a decent fibre connection, you can download quite a bit in those hours

So when getting ufb can you not get voice through your ISP?

Do you have to pick someone else?

Nope. Snap will give you their 'Snap Plus' VoIP service if you want it.

I just like to keep my services separate. With VoIP your phone line is as portable as an email address on your own domain. No need to worry if you change ISP. Just plug the ATA (or whatever VoIP device you may use) in and there is your phone line.

You can get voice with your ISP, I believe all of them offer voice services, most included with the plans now
Also, noticed you wanted a static IP, snap will do them for $5 a month extra

Is there a rep from SNAP on these forums who could confirm if they support use of the MikroTik RB2011?

Snap will provide you with a Fritzbox and that is the device they support.

If you chose to use a Mikrotik that would be up to you to support but should work absolutely no problem.

Hi NZVengeance

As Above, as long as your device supports VLAN Tagging (VLAN 10) then it should work on our UFB, however we don't provide technical support for any devices other than the FritzBox, saying that there are plenty of company's that do provide Mikrotik Support so you should be all good.

Thanks,
TheRalph

I'm using a RB450G on snap, works a treat.
Just had to add a tagged interface on the ethernet interface plugged into your ONT on VLAN ID 10, enable PPPoE client on that new interface with my snap details and it works perfectly
