Not a major one but anoying all the same. I've got highspeed at work but decided it was time to get it at home for e mails and a bit of surfing. I only wanted a cheap plan as I wasn't doing anything serious so went with the GO plan with a 1GB cap. I managed to go over this by a few bytes (thanks utube) and then it automatically reverted to dial up speed - no problem. I waited a few days and read a book untill the roll over date. Logged back on at the start of the new billing month and was still on dial up speed??  Rang the help desk and after a lengthy investigation by the tech I was informed it takes two days from the month end before going back onto highspeed. Something to do with a technical restriction (lol). Ok, they do say in the GO plan details that when you change plans it takes two days - I didn't actually change it but once again - no problem. It is a cheap plan after all.

So anyway heres the bit that is a bit dubious in my opinion- the billing dates still remains the same. This means my billing for this month is from day xx but I wont get high speed apparantly untill xx + 2days. The help desk thought it was a bit strange but suggested I upgrade to a better plan.

I know I'm only paying for 1gb month and thats all gone but two days lost on the next month - Wish I could offer my clients disincentives to get more money from them.

Thats my moan for the day now back to my book cause dial up sucks.

When I was with Xtra (That's back in the day, I have been on cable for more than 18 months now) I was always sped up to fullspeed the day before my new billing period, meaning I had another high-speed binge before a new traffic counter thingy started.

Blah. I'm tired.

In every case for me - we were usually returned to full speed before the new month as well.

However there has been the odd case where caps have not reset properly (I would advise contacting the helpdesk as they can get this fixed) but two days is too long.
