Not a major one but anoying all the same. I've got highspeed at work but decided it was time to get it at home for e mails and a bit of surfing. I only wanted a cheap plan as I wasn't doing anything serious so went with the GO plan with a 1GB cap. I managed to go over this by a few bytes (thanks utube) and then it automatically reverted to dial up speed - no problem. I waited a few days and read a book untill the roll over date. Logged back on at the start of the new billing month and was still on dial up speed?? Rang the help desk and after a lengthy investigation by the tech I was informed it takes two days from the month end before going back onto highspeed. Something to do with a technical restriction (lol). Ok, they do say in the GO plan details that when you change plans it takes two days - I didn't actually change it but once again - no problem. It is a cheap plan after all.
So anyway heres the bit that is a bit dubious in my opinion- the billing dates still remains the same. This means my billing for this month is from day xx but I wont get high speed apparantly untill xx + 2days. The help desk thought it was a bit strange but suggested I upgrade to a better plan.
I know I'm only paying for 1gb month and thats all gone but two days lost on the next month - Wish I could offer my clients disincentives to get more money from them.
Thats my moan for the day now back to my book cause dial up sucks.
