Hi there!
I recently acquired a second hand Fritz!Box 7340 that was only a few months old from Trademe and I've already hit a snag.
I went to setup my Internet connection and it didn't want to connect. After looking around for a bit I noticed that it doesn't sync with the DSLAM.
I just get the following log entry every few minutes or so:
DSL synchronization starting (training).

I'm with Full Flavour Media VDSL if that makes any different.
Currently I have resorted to sticking the Fritz!Box to router mode and using the Innbox supplied by FFM as the modem, everything works fine in this setup.
I want to take the Innbox out of the equation as I've personally many stability issues with it and it's not as feature rich as the Fritz!Box. Also the Innbox is a free rental from FFM.

Any help would be much appreciated!
Cheers!

To anyone else that has this problem:
After reading the VDSL Performance thread in the Snap forum (http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=90&topicid=105744&page_no=1) I found that reverting the firmware to an older version fixed the problem.
