I am wanting to know if I connect my ONT/modem to a UPS if the phone will still work.
Does the ETP need power?

The ETP is just an outside junction box where the fibre comes from the ground into the house. This has no power to it.

The only things you should need to power with the UPS, is the ONT and the CPE (Assuming the voice comes from the CPE and not the ONT)

Also depends on the type of phone you have. If you have the really old style powerless analogue corded phones then yes, that setup will work, if you have an IP Phone or a cordless analog phone then no, that will not be enough.

Some cordless phones have a backup battery in the base station, which keeps it working during power cut
