Somebody PLEASE help me understand WHY an 'aerial drop' from the PowerPole right outside our unit is not allowed?!?
the actual phrase is: "We cannot get access to use the pole."
At our last place of residence (a rental) Chorus really wanted to provide the A.D. connection (and had even wired up the pole, can be seen on StreetView), until I pointed out that a underground thrust was closer/cheeper from the other street (a corner section).

Now we have just brought a Unit (Yes CrossLease/MultiDeweling) {and with that frigging LVR} here: http://goo.gl/maps/nHkSW
If you use StreetView you can see the big PowerPole providing lines to our front Unit (closest to the road).
The underground thrusting pit for the street is right beside that PowerPole too.
Too simply feed/blow a fibre line to our attic (which has an room in it), keep one line for us & the other can be sent straight through the roof space (no firewall to worry about) to the next dwelling.
This seems much cheeper/easier than trenching our driveway!!
So WHY not an Aerial Drop people??
