if my friend has an internet connection with Kiwi Online, so has an email with them, can he access it using another computer?

Either use a webmail if KOL offers this feature or configure the e-mail client with the information supplied by KOL. Most ISPs allow users to access e-mails from any connection, the exception being Xtra (which requires a special account setting, but that's all).
