Hey guys,

At the moment in my house i currently have my PC downstairs and my xbox upstairs.  When i want to play xbox live i disconnect my modem from PC and move it upstairs which is fine and it works.  But i was just wondering if this continual disconnecting and reconnecting of the modem might affect the modem in anyway?

If you turn it off properly it wont be doing it to much harm.

BUT, continuous unpluging and re-pluging will not do it any good either. Eventually the sockets, or the cables will wear out.
