So I was on Orcon's Fibre 30 plan - 30 meg down, 10 up.

Then I decided to switch to the 100/50 plan, so I called them and asked. No problem, they said, but you'll have to wait until your billing anniversary of 22 Feb.

Come 22 Feb - rebooted everything and tried the mighty speedtest, to make sure the change had been implemented.

The result? Well, there's been some change, my connection is asymmetrical, but that's about all I can say

They've successfully adjusted HALF my plan...

Very weird.

Time to setup your own web server. Otherwise at least any torrents you download will have good share ratios.

Otherwise it could be an issue on the Orcon side not the Chorus side. Perhaps Chorus have changed you onto the 100/50 plan, but on Orcon their BNG still has you configured for the 30/10 (but no ingress shaping on egress).

I would ring up Orcon and get them to check.
