Anyone know what the time is from build to availability of service is? a few months back they had done all the conduit, and in the past couple of weeks they have put the cabinet in.

The build schedule has always said june and still does, but the guys doing the deployment said it was being done ahead of schedule, as Wel needed to do work on the power cabling, so it was done at the same time.
Anyone know what sort of time it took once the cabinet went in?

Hi There,

I'd still expect June. Once the cabinet is complete various parties need to test and sign it off, which takes 3-4 months.

The address finder on the Ultrafast Fibre website will update if the date comes forward or when it becomes service ready - http://www.ultrafastfibre.co.nz/getting-connected/address-finder

Cheers,

Ultrafast Fibre employee.

Hey, thanks for that info. I was wondering how often that date is updated and how accurate it is, since its been the same date since almost the start. Though now it does say its under construction.

We're about to update our address checker with the latest dataset so check here around this time tomorrow http://fullflavour.co.nz/ultra-fast-broadband/hamilton.

Usually the estimates given are fairly accurate. Not common for dates to come forward though - we monitor a set on behalf of pre-registered customers and most of the time they move back not forwards.

Hi There,

Jesse is quite right. Our data is also updated monthly, usually in the first few days of the month.

Cheers,
