In 2004 we moved our home phone from Telecom to TelstraClear cable. We also got their TV service, According to my dad one of the reasons we did this was that apparently our Telecom (chorus) line was broken/damaged or had water in it or something. buzzing, not the best call quality or something like that..
A few years later we also got TelstraClear cable internet (now vodafone ofcourse)
The internal house wiring is fine, (as the vodafone line is connected to it) they used the existing jack points etc
So it must be somewhere between the Demarcation point and the street. Ive been told chorus will fix it if its on your property and if not its $150 and that doesnt include if they have to dig up your driveway? but im not sure if this would be considered our property or not
Our driveway is shared between us and our neighbours, and there is one of these on our driveway which I assumed our line mustve been connected to

What do you people think? We want to know if we were move providers (bigpipe and orcon unlimited look very tempting when vodafone offers 150gb costing more than this) if it would be okay if this line was reconnected
