I am hoping again that a service provide company can shed some light to whether they will be coming to Paraparaumu, Kapiti Coast and approx timeframe.  We still have build work going on and plenty of houses passed, but still no company to connect too.

I recently spoke to to a developer who has a new build subdivision, fed completely by fibre and their first home is to be connected in approx 6 weeks.  He was not impressed to hear there is no service providers to connect the new owners of his land. His saving grace is that he can have blown copper if there are no RSP's/ISP's ready by installation date.

I had my hopes up when FX Networks installed some kit, but was told it was for a link to Palmy only, not sharing the fibre link love.

Please, it would be great to have a timeframe, not just myself, but plenty on the coast that's for sure.  I'll even have my business deliver fliers to the first ISP to hit the coast for no charge, you supply the fliers, we will deliver!!!!!

What does Chorus say about their build. Normally it's dependant on Chorus making handovers available. I'll ask what the story is with Telecom tomorrow.

Aren't Snap already there?

I know there have been issues with Telecom which became a major N4L problem!

Everytime I have rung Chorus for feedback, they just refer us to our service provider.  Would be great to find out if Telecom are coming, we wouldn't have to change ISP's then :)

I know Snap have gear in the exchange, but are still not offering the service yet.

Unfortunately we don't have a handover in Paraparaumu at this stage, we are looking at providing service later in the year however.

I was told a week ago that the fibre link FX-Networks are installing to Palmy is now going to offer the Kapiti area for any ISP's a 10gig link, so hopefully we should be up and running with someone shortly.
