Hey guys,
Been having some problems with my ZyXel VDSL2 modem recently. Internet wasn't working this morning (ended up doing a 1 hour 3 way skype call on 4g :S uh oh!) so I pulled the power pack out and put back in and we are up. I was online for about 20 minutes before I started noticing some sites weren't working. All the important sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, Webmail & Geekzone are working but the less sophisticated like Stuff weren't. I have the IPvfoo plugin on Chrome and noticed that all the sites working were a big green 6. Did a ping test to confirm and IPv4 isn't working.

Interesting experience - goes to show that after 20 minutes of normal internet use I was only using IPv6....

ISP is Solarix (ex-Unleash).

Do you have an IPv4 WAN ip addr? Also don't know anything about your router but if DHCP or NAT isn't working on it. But if it is broadcasting the correct IPv6 router advertisement messages. Your computers will get valid IPv6 ip addresses via SLAAC.

Yes We do have an IPv4 WAN address - its a CGNAT address though. We can ping the gateway but get no further. Seems to have stopped working after some maintenance they did on Monday night at exactly 01:00. We have been using IPv6 for about 6 months and the majority of our traffic is probably IPv6 now. Indeed SLAAC is being used to setup the addressing on the computers.
