Just wondering what the default MTU is for XTRA?

The reason being that I was just having a mooch around the config pages of my crappy D-Link modem and noticed that the MTU was 1400.

I've changed it to 1500 in a hope to increase the speed of my connection, but was just wondering if 1400 is the default or if there has been some sort of mistake?

Cheers.

MTU on PPPoA=1492, this is probably what Xtra have this configured as also. Unless you hard set it on the router it will default to what is given to it by the remote end during IPCP setup.

PPPOA is 1500, PPPOE is 1492, I think xtra clients use PPPOE, UBS is done over PPPOA?

I think you will find that all Telecom delivered ADSL services in NZ are PPPOA, there is no PPPoE, but I am happy to be proven wrong.
