So the talk is all about Woosh capping the speeds of those who have the unlimited Orbit Flat-Rate, the same way Telecom did, and then had to back track and offer financial compensation to thier customers...

So post your speeds here, lets keep a record of what speeds they currently providing us

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Yeah there certainly a pattern emerging...

I just had not noticed as I dont download or spend as much time on the net like I use to, but have noticed websites loading slower recently...

Xnet is an idea....but the point being, that Woosh are obviously tryin to get people off this unlimted plan now, as they are no longer marketing/selling and telecom wholesale no longer support...

And the shame is the price for such plan is what makes it so attractive, if I go elsewhere now, or even change plan on Woosh...for the same $50 monthly I will only get 10gb on average, which is a waste of time.

But while I may think $50 is the best deal for such unlimited internet....these speed are ridiculous, and are going to force me to reconsider my plan and provider, as I am paying $50 for less than dial-up performance, when sold 'broadband'.....and it was at the start!

No, for now, I'm going to keep posting, as well as get others to record here, and then later in the month when the trend is obvious maybe confront Woosh in the same way Telecom was with thier Go-Large plan.....as push for reimbursement which is justified, or take the issue to the commerce commision.

politeness  and  the chance of getting banned;   cause me to refain  saying my thoughts of woosh.
False info,  broken promises, deceit,  and communication failure.  Arrogant are among  the politer words.

    ring them up,
ask  for manager.    (he is hiding).

Me   are happy waiting  for transfer to  Xnet.

my friend works at woosh customer service help desk... anyway... he said they put the cap cause they wanna make money, and to force the customers to change over to another plan where the speeds are said to be better... i guess they didnt think of cusotmers leaving them hehehe...  maybe you guys should write up and complain to the commerce commission, cause i'm sure this is illegal...
they can cancel or change the plan, but not to the people who signed up for it...

anyway woosh has never been reliable from day one, i don't know how you guys put up with them...
plus wimax should be launching around NZ some time (no idea when)

I put up with them because they were fine (not as fast as ihug, but fine) right up until they deliberately started all this. :)
And now I'm stuck on a contract which I could probably get out of with enough whinging but the point is I shouldn't have to. It's like being held to ransom and it feels like they're being really underhanded and deliberately obtuse and incommunicative. I'll tell you what, after my contract is up I'll never again have anything to do with them in any way at all!

To stay on topic: Speeds still from 50kbps-120kbps vs 1200kbps national.

And did you see this?

Good article.
