last few weeks my connection has been crap.... anyone else on the mt eden 4 exchange and/or callplus and experiencing same?

during 6pm to 1am i'm lucky to get a download over 20-30k/s. During early afternoons I can get up to 600k/s so it must be peak time congestion.

Its not just you.

I've got two ADSL connections here, one running XTRA, the other running Slingshot. Both connect to the Mt Albert Exchange and sync at identical (max) speeds.

Oh no, now the Slingshot trolls will be out in force claiming you are in Telecoms/Xnets/any other ISPs pocket and have rigged the results.

i was with xtra before callplus and went through something similar - i expect overcrowding/oversubscription was the issue (incidentally i was on mt albert exchange then). i will be talkng to the tech guys at callplus (if they return my call that is....) and see if it cant be resolved before resorting to shifting everything around. for the last 18 months i have had no complain of product

I'm experiencing exactly the same problem (and have been for a while).

I'm on the Mt Eden 4 exchange but my ISP is Orcon.
