I saw this while driving down nelson street (main road to and from nelson to blenheim). Is it more fibre being laid? id never seen it so i thought id post the pic, i might be wrong and it could be something really boring.
Blenheims CBD has a dark fibre network (owned by telstraclear), we also have another fibre network called the loop (joins the hospital, all local schools etc) that was on the news a while back.. Looks like more fibre going in that we will never be able to use, is a pitty really...

It would seem that a three phase HV main is being layed and a blue fibre with it, so guess one of the power co's.

Ok thanks.. that cleared that up.. Marlborough lines are already on a fibre link.. wonder what they are up to..

Edit: Just emailed a mate that works at Marlborough lines and he said they are laying powercables and fibreing up there substations at the same time.. boo, how boring :(
