A year and a half ago Chorus proposed increasing the base plan of UFB to 50/20, for the same wholesale price as 30/10

What happened to this? Did it get stuck in regulatory approval, or did RSPs not want it? Seems 30/10 is still the base plan for most offerings.

they instead launched a new plan, 100/20  which is only about $3 more (at a wholesale level) than the regulated 30/10

It's up to each ISP whether they choose to sell it or not.
Some (like us) have chose to make the 100/20 our base offering instead of 30/10.

Other ISPs have replaced their 'high end' 100/50 with the cheaper 100/20 (so they can make more margin on the high end plans)
Other ISPs have kept the regulated plans but also introduced some of the new ones
Other ISPs have just stuck to the regulated offerings for now.

It adds a lot of complexity if you want to sell UFB across multiple LFCs, since these 'new' plans only exist for Chorus, meaning you would need to have a totally different set of plans for each LFC, which is a major PITA.
