so starting off with a little background I had vdsl enabled 2 weeks ago went live with 18/8 and a huge jump in attenuation from 11 db to 19.8 a few db is normal but 9??

anyway I have been keeping a eye on my connection with DSLSTATS and I am seeing things like

am I correct in thinking this is a dodgy connection somewhere

Yes and was a master filter installed when VDSL was connected?
