How many times have I thought 'Awesome, we're getting so close to our exchange having fibre!' to have the date extended.  This has happened so many, first 6 months at a time, now it's month by month we get extended.

Chorus hates commitment it seems

It is definitely a case of ebb and flow, I had mine in 8 months before the scheduled date, which was nice.

as was mine.
It's unfortunate, but not unexpected given the scope and complexity of the work that is happening.

Our area was due this year.... got excited when saw the contractors digging up the area... then stopped houses away. Date been pushed back another 2 years for them to keep digging my way.  Being on a main road, you'd think it'd make sense to keep going.... but nope. Thankfully my VDSL is 40/10 which keeps me happy for now.

We've got pretty close to that on VDSL also, but I'm really looking forward to getting UFB in the office so we can give the upload speed a boost!  We send around a lot of files and we're running our own Dropbox-esq service from our Synology NAS.  I've got UFB at home and there is not really a big difference in feel between the two, but it would be really helpful in our office of 10 people!

My local area was earlier than originally planned.

Guess I am just lucky :-)

Me too. Became available to me within six months of moving here, and I got it installed two months after ordering it. Yet on the opposite of the street? Nothing.
