There is fibre at our gate, but getting it the ~100m to the house is going to be a problem. It would require tearing up 2/3rds of the driveway, because only 1/3rd has an excavatable grass strip beside it. However, the other 2/3rds does have a storm-water drain running down the side of it in the form of a concrete trench capped with removable concrete slabs.
This drain actually serves dual purposes already, as that's where the water supply for the house was reinstalled after the original one rotted in the earth. What's the probability that they could run a fibre line in that drain as well?
