I have just signed up to Trust Power's Internet/Power Package where they offer ADSL2 unlimited at $49 per month, with a two year contract. I have moved over from Orcon, purely for the reason of this lower pricing.

Anyone had any experience with Trust Powers ISP service?

* Internet outages
* Speeds OK?
* Problem resolution
* Customer service
* Overall value

They have been providing internet for ages now, started as a virtual isp using iirc maxnet's platform then had their own isp related core stuff built by one of the reputable local network builders (might have been vibe or layer2 don't remember).

Haven't heard anything bad about them.

So it's 2 year contract with a more expensive 2nd year ($79/mo) and you have to keep power, phone, internet with them?

- You’ll pay $49 per month for broadband in the first 12 months of the Term.
- In the second 12 months of the Term, you’ll move on to a new fixed rate which will be no more than $79 per month.
- After the Term expires you’ll pay our standard price for unlimited broadband at the time (currently $99 a month but subject to change).

Exit fee is kinda of steep at $195 if you want to change/leave within the 2 year term.

It's not a bad deal but you're locked for 2 years which is a long time, lots of things could happen in that time.

But late asking for feedback now that you've signed a 24 month contract. :P

There is no trustpower sub-forum on Geekzone, which might indicate something to you about how many customers they have who are Geekzone members.

Check their Facebook page and Twitter. See what their other customers are saying. Do they respond quickly and well to a bad review?

Thanks all for the feedback, yes you are right bit dumb asking now after signing up right? Did a little digging before I signed up but found nothing too incriminating. Just though you guys might of heard something.

that's the first time i've seen vibe and reputable in the same sentence.
