I know that Enable doesn't really have a presence on GZ, but I would like to say well done to Enable and Dower for our UFB install.

I placed the order a month ago with 2 Degrees, so I could get an install date close to when we moved in to our new place last week.

Had the scope done on the day we moved in, the person from Downer was very accommodating on where we wanted the ONT etc.

That was on the Wed. On Sat while we were away for the day, the exterior work was done (small concrete path cut and lead in coming through the front lawn (no trenching required -  can't remember the name of the machine they used)).

On the following Tues, they tried blowing the fibre from the cabinet to the house but they were unsuccessful.

The next day, the internals were done and a very tidy finish.

Today, the faults team came around, got the compressor out and found there was some sponge blocking the pipes from the cabinet to our house (they use the sponge to clean the pipes after they are laid), 30 mins later, the fibre is spliced and a few phone calls later, we have the internet.

Overall, very impressed with the installation.

Someone should be around next week to repair the concrete they cut.

At the moment, Enable has a one month wait for installs (colleague at work just ordered fibre and has to wait a month) if anyone is interested for fibre installations in Christchurch

It's good to read more stories about the good installs (of which there are plenty).

UFB uptake seems to be accelerating very quickly right now. It's about 7 weeks lead time for an install in Wellington due to the workload.

Great to hear darkasdes2!

A sbiddle has mentioned, it's always great to hear from those customers who have had a positive install experience.

From the occasional horror stories that make it into the wild - It's easy to get the impression that getting fibre installed is a messy, complex, and frustrating experience - but the reality is that in most cases this couldn't be further from the truth.

I'll make sure your positive feedback makes it's way back to Enable through one of our communication channels.

Enjoy your new connection!
