So the UFB team have just been through and done the trenching for fibre in my neighbourhood (hooray) and I have noticed that they have left these tagit tags www.tagtec.co.nz (no information on this website) next to the phone connection in the street.... The questions are what are they? What are they for? I presume the are RFID or similar.... Anyone got any info

Similar to the tube markers when they have pulled ducting to a home to identify its far point perhaps?

In either case. Be careful the tinfoil brigade don't use these pics as more scare ammo on the internet "this turned up and they are marking where a dog lives to steal it for fighting.." I can see it now.

They are RFID taged used to locate end of laterals once they have been buried after being blow tested
