If you're a speed-testing junkie like me, you'll know about nPerf - great for testing overseas connections.

For the first time, I have today noticed an Auckland testing option (the My Republic server), next to Sydney and Melbourne on the drop-down list (see below).

Tonight it gave me similar Auckland speeds to OOKLA and Vodafone speedtests.

i prefer http://speedof.me/ as it works without flash.  flash is very insecure and isn't safe to use.

Pulling down sub 100mbps on this server on a 1Gbps symmetrical P2P fibre connection. Getting up to 300 upload. Seems the server is overloaded perhaps. Theres plenty of unused capacity on this connection too.
