Hi

I have done a tracert and after the kinect server I have seen a internal ip I have not seen before. Does anyone know more about it. it's an internal ip.

10.55.85.80.

Is this of any concern?

No Problem. Just odd seeing an internal ip in the middle of a tracert.

Post the traceroute.

AFAIK Trustpower use CG-NAT, so you'll see internal IPs after your router.

Yes - That is CG-NAT. Nothing wrong here, working as intended.

You will also find this often on Vodafones network

Realistically its working as expected, and while annoying, it does beat outright dropping ICMP traffic..

CG-Nat should realistically come under rfc6598 space rather than local space too.

ild recommend posting an actual trace so people aren't shooting in the dark here though.....

This is from a static IP on Trustpower so it's not a CG-NAT thing

That's the same tracert as my client has. Wonder what it is?

Honestly I don't think even they know - they changed their DNS severs the other day and didn't reinstate the reverse DNS.

It's probably an internal trustpower device seeing as google is being served locally by trustpower
