I just put up a new post about the TCL announcement that its not far away from offering decent broadband for its cable users. At last for us that means a faster connection for our web servers :)

It looks like ChCh will see the first installations and then later Wellington and Auckland.

I have emailed TCL for more information on dates etc so will keep you updated.

cheers

Considering Auckland doesn't have a HFC network I doubt they'll be getting a 25Mbps service any time in the future.

In addition to sbiddle's comments, this is nothing news since it was announced back June 2007. What's is news is that it was supposed to be in place by December 2007 and it has been delayed, according to Stuff.

There's a previous post about this here so I am locking this discussion.
