If this is the wrong forum then i apoligize - i wasnt sure where to put it :O

Well i have got my very own macbook air.

However i cant plug my ethernet cable into it and just continue using my broadband.

Apparently i need a wireless router so that my macbook air can go on the net.

However i dont really no what they are so i came here in the hope that someone would be able to tell me what it is and/or does (NOT USING LOTS OF SCIENTIFIC WORDS JUST BASIC WORDS LOL)

I have one main question really...

If i buy one does that mean i need to get a wireless internet plan (Ie woosh or something) to make it work or can i continue to use my broadband?

I currently have broadband on this laptop and have never had wireless.

As i say im not really sure what it is or does so if anyone could shed some light it would be greatly appreciated :)

This has been covered in the forums already. Mac Air can only get online via wifi - wireless networks. Therefore, you cannot simply plug in the ethernet cable.

To get a wifi network at home, you will need to buy a wireless router. You don't need to sign-up to Woosh - Woosh is for those on the road. Simply put, a wifi network is set up once a wireless router is connected up to the ethernet cable.
